Ceilings and walls
The tenant is responsible for the daily maintenance of the walls and ceilings in the home. You may paint and wallpaper the ceilings and walls. Please note that when a new tenant moves into the home, you must return the home to its original state. This means that the ceilings and walls must have a neutral/white colour again. In the event of damage to plasterboard or stucco, for example due to nail or screw holes, this must also be repaired by the tenant.
Frames
The tenant is responsible for maintaining the inside of all frames. These are the door and window frames. The outside is the responsibility of the owner. Maintenance includes: oiling hinges, painting/varnishing the frames and repairing them in case of damage.
Skirting boards
The tenant is responsible for maintaining, repairing and replacing the skirting boards.
Doors
The tenant is responsible for maintaining the doors in and on the rented property. This includes the hinges and locks , the door handle and the paintwork. If you have made changes, you must ultimately deliver it in its original state.
