To ensure the best possible operation of your tumble dryer, you can do the following things. It is important to clean your tumble dryer regularly. If you do not do this, there is a chance that it will wear out faster and therefore break down. Make sure that you do the following points regularly to ensure the best operation.

Cleaning the lint filter
There is a lint filter in the dryer. Before you do a new wash, it is wise to clean this filter. If you do not do this regularly, the filter can become clogged. This will cause the dryer to work less well, which in turn results in more consumption and not completely dry laundry.

Condenser and condensate tray

The condenser should also be cleaned regularly. Some tumble dryers indicate this. If your tumble dryer does not indicate this, do it after every 20 cycles. If the dryer is not connected to a water drain, you should empty the condensation tray after each drying cycle. This tray stores the moisture that is filtered from the air.

Air exhaust hose
Exhaust dryers have an exhaust hose that moves the air outside. Dust can accumulate in this hose. Therefore, check the air exhaust hose regularly, if a lot of dust accumulates here, this can result in a lesser functioning of the appliance. Also check the air opening of the dryer. If there is a lot of dust in here, this results in a longer drying process. Another result of this can be that your dryer gets warm but the laundry does not.

Pay attention to the amount of laundry in the dryer
The laundry dries best when the warm air can reach the laundry properly. If you overfill your tumble dryer, there is little air movement, which means it takes longer for the laundry to dry completely. Make sure the drum of the tumble dryer is not fuller than 60% and leave enough space above the laundry. This gives a better drying result and also uses less energy.
