Hinges

Hinges should be lubricated once a year with silicone spray, oil or grease. This is easiest if you remove the pin from the hinge. You can do this by gently tapping it with a nail or, for heavier hinges, with a flat screwdriver. Make sure that you only remove 1 hinge at a time. Replace any broken bearings and adjust if necessary.

If the hinge is broken, you will need:

• New hinge
• A few
• Screwdrivers: Phillips and flat head
• Hammer
• Thick nail
• Aerosol lubricant: Teflon spray or WD40

Locks
Day and night locks should be greased once a year:

• Spray WD40 on the key and in the lock
• Operate the lock a few times to spread the lubricant evenly

Cylinders
Spray with a lock spray once every two years. So absolutely do not use oil or other products for lubrication.

Closers
Provided with grease on the pivot points.

Window hardware
Lubricate the pivot points regularly with oil or telephone spray.
