Leakage
One of the most common causes of a bad smell is a leak in the drain, for example. Check all places where water pipes run, because there is a chance of leaks and therefore odor nuisance. Poor ventilation
Does the smell mainly come up when it has rained heavily outside? Then check the ventilation of your sewer. A sewer smell can be the result of problems with the ventilation of your sewer.

Blockage
Is the water not draining properly in your dishwasher? Do you hear the drains bubbling and does your toilet flush poorly? Has it been a long time since you cleaned your siphon?
