You currently do not have an internet connection
Internet in your home is generally something that you as a tenant are responsible for. In principle, you are free to choose an internet connection yourself.
If you live in a building with multiple residents of homes who use the same connection, you cannot use the shared connection for private internet. If you and other residents decide to use an internet connection anyway, it can be decided to take out a wireless subscription where the costs are shared.
Are you renting a home that already includes an existing internet connection?
In that case, first contact the landlord. Request the details of the subscription here. When you have received these, you can contact the provider. The landlord pays for the subscription costs. Often, any additional service costs are separate from this. However, this is stated in the rental agreement under “additional delivery and services”.
Your internet connection is not working properly
When the wifi connection no longer works as it should, there may be problems with the router. What often helps is to restart it. It is also useful to find out whether there is a malfunction known to the network provider or whether you are the only one experiencing it.
If you urgently need wifi, a possible option is to temporarily use your phone’s hotspot. For persistent problems, it is wise to contact the provider.
