It is important to clean a bath properly when you have one in your home. For example, it is important to clean it weekly and to descale it once in a while. Limescale often forms on the taps and the plug. It is also important for your health to ensure that no mold develops. A common place where mold occurs is, for example, on the sealant edge of the bath, but this can also occur in other places that are not cleaned properly.

The tenant is responsible for maintaining and renewing his/her own shower fittings, such as: shower tap, shower hose, shower rail, hand shower, plug-in hook and connector, tap washers and the like.
Descaling
Descaling your bathroom and bathroom facilities is very important to ensure that they last a long time. As a tenant, it is of course nice to be in a clean bathroom. It must also be completely clean and tidy upon delivery. There are enough products in the supermarket, drugstore and DIY store to keep your bathroom clean/descale it.
Shower head
If the shower head does not drain completely during showering, it is likely that it is clogged with limescale. Use special anti-limescale agents to tackle this problem. Another reason could be that there is not enough pressure. On average, the pressure should be between 3 and 4 bar. Contact your water company for this. If the jet of hot water is not large enough, the central heating boiler may malfunction because it cannot get rid of the heat.
How can you maintain the shower head?
Unscrew the shower head by hand, place the shower head in a descaler, cleaning vinegar or toilet duck. If it is very calcified, it is sometimes necessary to leave the head in the agent for at least 12 hours, limescale is not dissolved 1,2,3. Rinse the whole thing with warm water and reassemble the shower head on the hose. If the shower head is worn, it is at the tenant’s expense to replace it. Make sure you buy a new shower head that fits the existing suspension system. If the shower hose leaks, check whether the connections are provided with sealing rings and whether they are not broken. If the hose itself is broken, get the same hose with exactly the same connections from the DIY store and replace the whole thing.
