Roelofarendsveen is a town located in the province of Zuid-Holland in the Netherlands. It lies between the cities of Leiden and Amsterdam, and is part of the municipality of Kaag en Braassem.
The town is known for its location on the shores of the Braassemermeer, a large lake popular for water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. Roelofarendsveen also has a small historic center with a few stores and restaurants.
In terms of transportation, Roelofarendsveen is connected to nearby towns through a network of roads and canals. The A4 freeway runs nearby and there is a train station in the neighboring town of Leiden.
All in all, Roelofarendsveen is a pleasant town with a focus on outdoor activities and a convenient location for exploring other parts of the Netherlands.

Accessibility
Roelofarendsveen is located very centrally in the Randstad and has nearby
excellent access to the A4 and A44 motorways. Via these roads, the cities of Amsterdam and The Hague as well as the coastal towns within 30 minutes. With 10 to 15 minutes you are at Schiphol Airport. The bus stop is located along the Alkemadelaan and provides connections direction Leiden and Schiphol.
