Step 1: Disconnect the faucet
Turn off the main tap of the water pipe. Then pull the knob off the tap. For some taps you need to unscrew the screw that is under the colored cap.
Please note: Tap washers come in different shapes and sizes. We therefore advise you to purchase an assortment of tap washers. Then you are always sure that you have the right size at home!
Step 2: Unscrew the internals
Unscrew the decorative sleeve. Unscrew the internals from the tap. Check whether the gasket in the tap housing is still intact.
Tip: Prevent damage to the decorative sleeve by placing a cloth between the jaws of the pliers.
Step 3: Remove the leather
Loosen the nut or screw that holds the washer and remove the washer. Then place the new washer.
Tip: Make sure the new washer has the same size. This is to prevent further leakage.
